Saturday - June 6th
SB TNG Future Planning Meeting

Ever have a great idea for what SB TNG should do? Want to help plan our
classes/parties? Have a creative bone in your body and want to do
fliers? None of the above but you like spending time with TNG folks
anway?

Come out to the space at noon on Saturday, June 6th for the TNG planning
meeting. We'll be planning classes for the rest of the year as well as
the two TNG hosted parties for the end of the year: Halloween and New
Year's Eve.

Community Forum 0 Is Age a Seperating Factor in Our Community
Let's have SB TNG have a huge showing at this Community Forum at Edges.

****************************

Is Age a Separating Factor in Our Community?

Please come join us for the third Community Forum on Saturday, June 6,
2009 at Edges.

This month we will be discussing if age is a separating factor in our
community.

This forum is intended to provoke discussion around age. Topics may
include, but are not limited to:

* Does age affect whom you chose to play with?
* Do different generations have different etiquette?
* Do different generations play differently?

Sunday June 7th
Naughty Sunday School
Note new time 2pm-5pm!
This month we've got the return of two of our own. With the new time, we
will be doing the demo first so make sure you're ON TIME...

Daddy Don will be doing a hands on fire class.

Have you seen fire play? Felt the lick of flame against flesh? Heard the
quiet whoosh of ignition followed by a quick intake of breath? Watched
the tracing of flame move up someone's back? Sensed the power of fire.

This workshop is designed for people who have an interest in fire play
and want hands-on instruction and guidance. We welcome novices and more
advanced players as well.

The first part of the intensive will cover fire safety, equipment,
things to do and things to avoid. Daddy Don will then describe the
styles of fire play they do. >From that, the intensive will split off,
allowing you to spend time with both instructors.

The workshop will be interactive, so be prepared to take part.

Things to know/bring: -Please bring at least two dishtowels with you.
-If you are the fire bottom, refrain from applying oil based lotions or
creams for at least 2 hours before the workshop. -Avoid hair gel,
hairspray or other products that contain alcohol. -If you have long
hair, bring pins and hair-ties to keep your hair up and out of the
flames way. -Wear natural materials (leather, all-cotton, nude, silk,
wool, linen, kevlar, duvetyne). Please note items like nylon, rubber,
anything-that-starts-with-poly, latex, PVC, elastic, rayon and spandex
can melt (ouch). -No puffy or bell sleeves or fringe-type stuff that
hangs.

Specific to fire transfer: -Trim/cut the fingernails on your dominant
hand. This prevents fuel from gathering under the nails (not a good
thing). -If you wear acrylic nails, you won't be able to transfer, only
receive (but that's not a bad thing.)

Our discussion topic will be negotiation led by Kate. So, you've got
your toy bag filled with all sorts of delicious things, a partner that
wants to play, and a snazzy place to do it. What's next? Figuring out
what to do, of course! This month, we'll be discussing all things
negotiation, from "hey, stand against that wall and let me beat you" to
ten-page slave contracts with rigid structures and punishments, and
covering tips and tricks to make talking about your desires easier. Come
on out and offer your insight or curiosity as we do our best to promote
consent and communication in the pre-scene.
